Trying to catch lightning on Camera

9-28-05
Went out to try and catch Lightning on film(digital). Got out there and for the life of me could not find a dry spot (it was a torrential downpour) to save my life but there was lightning everywhere. Well, when I finally found a dry spot large enough to get into safely and started shooting the lightning all but stopped. Anytime there was a good pop, I'd miss it or it'd be completely out of frame. So, I dropped the FStop and the Exposure time and hoped to catch some light ones. Well, no sooner do I do this, but a huge bolt hits. Due to the low FStop and the low exposure time it blew the photo out to all hell. :(

Well, I tried it's not great but it doesn't look horrible. Hopefully it'll go again tonight so I can go chasing.

Here's to you Kari, hope you had a good 20th.
